Privacy Policy

The short version: WiseIQ stores your financial profile on your device only. We never upload it, never sell it, and never share it with anyone without your explicit permission. The only data that leaves your device is the affiliate tracking parameters appended to offer URLs when you tap "Apply Now."

1. Who We Are

WiseIQ is a personal finance matching application. We help users calculate a Financial Health Score and discover financial products — credit cards, loans, savings accounts, and more — that match their profile. We earn referral fees from financial product providers when users apply for and are approved for products through our app.

2. What Data We Collect

WiseIQ collects only the information you voluntarily provide during the onboarding questionnaire:

  • Credit score range (e.g., "580–619")
  • Annual income range
  • Monthly debt payment range
  • Monthly savings range
  • Financial goals (e.g., "improve credit," "buy a home")

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, Social Security number, date of birth, or any government-issued identification. We do not access your bank accounts, credit reports, or any financial accounts.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. It is never transmitted to WiseIQ's servers, never uploaded to the cloud, and never stored in any database we operate. If you delete the WiseIQ app, all data is permanently deleted from your device.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your financial profile is used solely to:

  • Calculate your Financial Health Score (a 0–100 rating)
  • Rank and filter financial product offers by fit for your profile
  • Generate personalized improvement tips and action plans
  • Display relevant financial education content

All of this processing happens on your device. No data is sent to our servers for any of these purposes.

5. Affiliate Tracking Parameters

When you tap "Apply Now" on an offer in WiseIQ, you are directed to the financial product provider's website or application. The URL we open may include affiliate tracking parameters (such as a publisher ID or sub-ID) that allow the provider to attribute your application to WiseIQ. These parameters identify WiseIQ as the referring source — they do not contain your personal financial data, name, or any identifying information about you.

If you have entered a custom affiliate tracking ID in the app's settings, that ID will also be appended to the URL. This ID is one you create and control.

6. Third-Party Services

WiseIQ links to third-party financial product providers. Once you leave WiseIQ and visit a provider's website or app, that provider's own privacy policy governs the data they collect. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any provider before submitting an application.

WiseIQ does not share your financial profile, contact information, or any personal data with any third-party provider. The only connection between WiseIQ and a provider is the affiliate tracking parameter in the URL, which identifies WiseIQ as the referral source.

7. We Do Not Sell Your Data

WiseIQ does not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for any purpose. This includes data brokers, advertisers, marketing platforms, and financial institutions. Our only revenue source is referral fees paid by providers when users are approved for their products.

8. Children's Privacy

WiseIQ is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through WiseIQ, please contact us at privacy@wiseiq.net and we will take steps to delete that information.

9. Your Rights (CCPA / California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you
  • Delete personal information we have collected (use the "Delete All My Data" option in the app's Profile tab)
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

Because WiseIQ stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit it to our servers, the most effective way to exercise your right to deletion is to use the "Delete All My Data" feature in the app, or to uninstall the app.

10. Security

Because your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your WiseIQ data is largely governed by your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). We recommend keeping your device's operating system and the WiseIQ app updated to benefit from the latest security improvements.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify users through an in-app notice. Your continued use of WiseIQ after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
